    Hi Spencer,

Yes Tonegard!Have a tonegard on my Kentucky KM 150 and it`s really loud and powerful am thinking of purchasing one for the SA within one or two weeks.Want to find out from you whether your armrests will fit bowl back mandolins.Let me know. May require one for my Davy Stuart Mandolin Spruce top, Tasmanian Oak back and sides.

Be advised that the arch on the top and back of a SA is deeper than any mandolin I've seen. I bent my toneguard to clear the back. Not elegant, but you can order one direct from the maker. I'd say it needs close to a half inch.

The other issue is cases. They fit in a Travelite and not much else. With toneguard attached, my Travelite is just barely big enough. Don't know about gig bags.

I’m sorry, but I have to call BS on that. That’s just your SA. I’ve had 3 (still have the F). The second A had a vey deep arch both top and back. The other two-not so much. They were not much different arch wise from other mandolins I’ve owned or seen. I believe Ken carves based on wood type and the specific tone he is after. I will say, the deep arch A was the darkest of the three. My F is just an outstanding mandolin. It was made in 2017. I just wish I could do it justice with my playing.........
