Thread: Oddy Mandocello

    Default Oddy Mandocello

Does anyone out there have an "Oddy Mandocello" ? (more correctly a long scale length Mandola built by David Oddy of the UK).
I'm looking to build my own version and would like to know some of the main dimensions of the "Oddy" model, specifically, body length, width and depth. Oddy's web-site states a scale length of 25.4 but I've also seen a post saying 24.9
Any details will be gratefully received.

I would just send Nick Oddy an email, and I'm sure he'd respond. I wrote to him a few years ago (also about the cello mandolin) and he replied promptly. I'd still love to play one - such a great sound, but I ended up with an Irish bouzouki (not made by Oddy).
    "What's that funny guitar thing..?"
