Has anyone played both a Seagull S8 and the new ranger by Mr. Weber?
The Ranger is available with a radius fret board which is important to some people.Interested in hearing a comparison opinion.

I have played a Ranger, it has a nice tone. I have not played a Seagull.

I am currently RV traveling from northern Minnisota to UP Michigan and then south towards Pa. I hope tp make a long awaited stop at Elderly and then will have an opportunity to play a Seagull S8 but probably not a Ranger. I have heard that the action on a Seagull can be hit or miss. I have no doubts that the action on a Ranger would be indicative of Bruce Weber's reputation. Also, the S8 is physically larger. Also, my preference for a radius fret board can be had on a Ranger.
I am also considering a travel acoustic/electric made in the UK which I will never have the opportunity to preplay. I have now owned 3 travel mandolins and found them less to my liking than the convenience they provided. Perhaps I will eventually find a travel mandolin that I can live with.
