    Default HeHeHeHeHe

Just took possession of a new (to me) Eastman 305 in showroom fresh condition. It's actually a LA-305 but what do I care about that. The original owner bought it two years ago and put it away unplayed. It is essentially a brand new instrument. It is totally playable, no adjustments are necessary at all. A total stunner. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go make my fingers bleed.

    Nice!

The LA-305 is just labeled for music and arts. Otherwise the same mandolin as the MD305. Nice!

Nice one Roger! Really like the 305 - my youngest son just got one a couple of weeks ago and it’s a great mandolin. Not just “for the money” - it’s a seriously good mandolin. Enjoy!

Isn't a new mandolin the ticket to giddyness?

Nice, the MD315 started me on my mando journey. I got it on a whim from a music store going out of business and well...you know, two more mandos later I still have it and play it and really like. It’s a keeper for sure. Congrats!

He actually brought it to me this morning so I didn't even try to haggle. It was an absolutely perfect specimen ready to play with the gig bag in equally perfect condition and a rather nice leather strap. It even still has the original j74s. He even had the warranty card and register receipt. It is stunming in appearance and tone and plays like butter. This one is easily a keeper.

I registered her online this morning, but I'm a little iffy about the tailpiece. I may want to go for a cast one.I also have a set of Rubners laying around. any opinions on those upgrades?

    That does look clean!

Aside from looking a little cheap, I have never had a problem with the stamped tailpieces on the 305/315.
