    Default Played a Northfield Octave and Collings Mandocello today

    Beautiful sound! But I put them back on the rack.

    1) Not going to spend that kind of money on another instrument, although $450 for that Eastman oval hole mandolin looks enticing.

    2) Too darn difficult to play! I tried a couple mandolas also, I gotta stick with the mandolin. I mostly play guitar any more.

    Where did you see the Collings mandocello?
