Trumpet Voluntary from 10 Voluntaries for Organ, Op 6 No 5 (1752) by this well-known English Organist and Composer of the 18th century. He was a contemporary of, and much admired by G F Handel
This very playable, lively piece is probably the best known of several 'Trumpet Tunes' composed by Stanley for the organ. It is basically a tune with accompaniment and is here arranged for a mandolin quintet/orchestra comprising 2 mandolins, 8ve mandola, guitar and bass. I have also included a part for Alto/tenor mandola (CGDA) as an alternative to the 8ve mandola, and a 2nd guitar part as an extra bass instrument.
