    Default Rockbridge

Though I have moved to St Augustine FL, I will be going to the Rockbridge festival in Buena Vista VA the weekend after larbour day. Any Cafe members going?

If so I hope to see you there.

I’ll be arriving at Rockbridge on Wednesday, Charley. Next to Clifffop it is one of my favorite festivals.

Thanks Mark, looking at the photos and videos, I recognize many friends. I will be up there with a group from the Raleigh NC area.
I hope to run into you.

One of my favorites. Hope to get there by Friday...
Great dancing, old-time, and always some old country. And some swing and jug band, if you know where to look!

I’m going, getting there Wednesday. I’ll be on the gate sat 2-4pm and 6-8pm, mostly otherwise hanging over on the river side. I’ll have my new Northfield octave Mando with me & love to play Mando-centric jams.

Hey Pete, good to hear from you. I enjoyed seeing the Mando Mafia jam on the 2016 video from the website. Steve Fishman was featured as well.
Looking forward to seeing everyone. Not a lot of old time happening in St. Augustine.

Hey Charley, I think you’ll like my new octave...it’s modeled after a 1940s Martin arch top tenor guitar. Look forward to seeing you there!

I was just talking to a friend from up our way (Hudson Valley, NY) who is thinking of going. Very enticing, then i realized that that is my wedding anniversary weekend. I think i will stay around here.

Hey Jim, it is my wedding anniversary too but I am still going. Actually my wife is attending a retreat with her choral group on Baldhead Island in NC the same weekend. We have been doing this for years.

So come on down, bring the wife. Lots to do around Buena Vista and Lexington- Natural Bridge.

They don’t call it Buena Vista for nothing! Blue Ridge mountain backdrop & the Blue Ridge Parkway is maybe 5 miles at the most away.

I was just up there this past weekend. Maybe I'll drive up on that Saturday? I've been before and the setting along the Maury is great, depending on the weather!

I will be wearing an old style Mandolin Cafe hat, any members are welcome to say hi. I look forward to meeting new people and picking some tunes! See you there.
