I'm fine with any BC STP or TD (round corner) size pick, no touching of the extension. As soon as I use a larger pick (s. a. BC TAD or TP), I tend to produce clicking noise at the Florida. My string action is about 2mms clear at the 12th fret.

I have no issue with utilizing the sweet spot.

I wonder what it is im not understanding on this issue.

All of my mandos, two scooped, two full florida frets, have a finger rests.
I experience no difference scoop or not.

I believe the finger rest eliminates fret interference, at least, for me.
I think its the attack angle.

Like david, i tend to play in between most often, and, ......i have, now after 4-5 years of blue chip use, now opted for thinner sharper pick boy pei's, wegens and prime tones over my blue chip tad60 1r......and ct 55.
