In the ii-V-I section, you say:

For example, try playing a iv chord instead of I (i.e. Am if you were playing a ii-V-I in C Major).

But Am is the vi chord in C, so I think you meant vi, not iv.

Not bad at all -

but I have a couple of comments

Why no mention of Italian music...it fits between folk and classical? The mandolin was not invented for Bluegrass, although admittedly it seems the most popular American style.

Next, the book assumes the only mandolins are A and F models. Those of us with bowlbacks, for instance do not use a strap even when standing.

Next, classical and jazz are actually closer on the spectrum than you indicate.

Overall, though, this is a good basic collection of things mandolinists need to know; I liked the very practical chord chart.

Isn't the "jazzier chord", labeled A6, actually Am7 or C6? And the "A9" beside it seems to have a G# in it? And the A6/9 ?????? (wrong fret)

Maybe it's just me.
