Default check out this Gibson Adam Steffey 2002 at elderlys

well, its obvious I probably need to unsubscribe to elderlys daily email. a month ago that cool Weber Aspen was in the email group, and it got shipped out that day. today, I almost, very very close to happening, picked up a guitar.

today in the list also, is this very cool Adam S model. I love the color, and the sound. I like that elderly is including soundclips on many of the used instruments nowdays.
    that is one neat mandolin

It’s “Elderly” as in “old” not Elderly’s as in someone named Elderly owns the place! I have a buddy that drives me to distraction by calling it Elderly’s!

If I remember correctly, this particular Steffey mandolin has been for sale a number of times. It gets around. I have played several, one owned by a friend who gave his to his daughter, and it was very nice. The other was not as nice, but was probably not played as much.

I was at Elderly this morning, and it is a beatiful mandolin. I was too overwhelmed by all the other instruments to try out, and this was hanging on the third row, so high I wasn’t comfortable pulling it down on my own, so I didn’t play it. But it is even better looking in person.

Loos fabulous except fingerboard end which seems all wrong after years of looking at the norm. Same with Doyle Lawson one and Sam Bush style. Just don't look right to me but I don't like the long extensions either. I prefer short and normal shape.

As a matter of fact, I was hanging around at Gibson when Adam was working with them on this model. His request was that the light spot in the middle of the sunburst be "no bigger than a coffee cup." Nailed it!
