Old Hometown, Cabin Fever String Band
I'm pretty sure you could modify that to work with a saw and a die. That's pretty bizarre.

I knew they made their A style GM6 mandolin shaped small guitar (it really IS a little little guitar!). That one was a copy of the Gibson that was basically the same. This is the first F style I've seen.

I don't think the bridge is the problem. It looks like it's about correctly placed. It's the tailpiece. It looks like one for a full sized archtop acoustic guitar. Maybe switching it out for something else a bit shorter?
We are the music makers,
And we are the dreamers of dreams
If you know someone with a tap and die set you could take the nuts off the tailpiece, thread the arms back an inch and cut an inch off. It won't hurt anything, will look better and give some wiggle room if you have to move the bridge.

You can replace the tailpiece with a short trapeze tailpiece. That should solve the problem. There are many to choose from on eBay. I've never played a mandolin guitar, so I don't understand the thinking, exactly. When I was a teenager I put a capo on my 12th fret and that amused me for about 5 minutes, but I don't think it sounded like a mandolin, just a high-pitched guitar.........
I have attempted to play a 6 string A style Gold Tone GM-6 mando-guitar. I didn't do well on it as a guitar. It was almost impossible for my fat fingers to get much right. YMMV.
