Just hope they send 2 sets and loop your own ends.

Just pull out the barrels and you'll have looped strings.

Kind of odd though: how would you be a beta tester for trying out guitar strings on a mandolin?

D'Addario is currently developing an advanced, ultra-thin string coating that can be applied to electric, acoustic, and classical guitar strings.
