Just got my first mandolin and it's a real beauty.....Eastman MD-815V.From the little experience I have(though I play acoustic guitar a bit) it seems beautifully built(though not as flawless as my Boutique guitars...ha) and has a really nice dry tone.Very responsive to me......Any other more experienced folks have an opinion of this model,or own it?

I got a ridiculously good deal on a new/old stock 2015 model, that never saw it's way out of the case and is pristine. Thanks for any input.

I tried one out when I ended up getting my MD-615 (fit my budget better than the 815)...it was nice and so is my 615.

I had an 815 but not the V model. I loved it.

I had one for a while, with a CA bridge, it's hard to go wrong for the cash...enjoy it, mine was beautiful
