    Really depends what you want. Examples of mandolin playing? Online lessons? Slowed down/simplified arrangements to play along to?

    Soundcloud also offers lots of mandolin music of various genres. You will find bluegrass, folk, Celtic, classical and lots more there.

    For OnSong I would look for tunes in the chordpro format on a site like Chordie, as those can be directly imported as lyric/chord sheets and preserve their formatting, meaning least work for you.

    https://www.chordie.com/

    there are loads of collections on there, but this search filter aims at mandolin;

    Not sure about On Song but I have forScore and just import my pdfs. Lots of free stuff on web and places like Mel Bay, etc have tons of ebooks that can be downloaded. I sometimes take a picture of a tune I like if it's in an old book I have and just import the pic into the app...it was alot of work at first but now it's all set up and in my iPad...no more lugging around the binder.

    Hi John - I've never heard of 'Soundcloud' - is it a download site ?. I used to use a Russian based website, 'RedMP3' for my MP3 downloads. There were 10's of Ks of them,but they've now cut anywhere other than Russia & Ukraine off at the knees !. I've been looking for a specific song, ''The Hills Of My Home'' by Laurie Lewis from her LP ''Love Chooses You'',for ages now. I have the LP but not the CD & i wanted to put the track onto my PC - no luck yet !!. There is a live version done by Laurie & somebody else,but it's not the one that i'm looking for.
    Its a favourite of mine to play on banjo,but i'd like to get a good break worked up on mandolin - time to try Soundcloud ?,

    Ivan, SoundCloud is an upload site, free at the basic level. I have lots of tunes uploaded to it and when I reach my limit I delete older, less-viewed ones and upload new ones. If you go to SoundCloud and look for Mandosounds you'll find my stuff. It's a bit like Youtube but sound only.

    I use Mozilla Firefox as my web browser. I use an 'add on' called ''1 Click YouTube Downloader''. Using that,when you play a YouTube clip,you'll see a red box underneath it with the word 'download' & an arrow in it. Left click on the arrow,& it gives you a choice of formats to download. I usually download MP4's & if necessary,i convert them to MP3s using 'Switch Sound File Converter' Freeware.

    I also use another free Firefox download app - ''Ant Video Downloader'' for non-YouTube videos,

    I download a prodigious amount of music from YouTube. It's free and of relatively fair fidelity, and pretty much everything ever recorded is there if you rummage around a little.
