I have a Grace Felix that I use for mandolin and dobro and it is by far the best preamp that I have ever used. The amount of control on each channel is more than enough to get the job done.

Have not used it as a dual source mixing mic and pickup but there is much discussion of the Felix on the Acoustic Guitar Forum under Acoustic Amplification.

thanks, mandowilli! I am using a pda 4099, and a K&K twin, simultneously, with 60% favoring the mic. was wondering why I get a signal when I have the gains turned completely down. (?).

good advice! I emailed them, got a response with a half hour! AWESOME.

turns out thats’ just the unamplified signal running thru the unit.
