    I really like that old Mandocello with rope "black-white" binding! I've seen that on mandolins from that era but not a mandocello-WAY KOOL man! That stands out to me among the others. What a gathering.

    You know you must be a mandolin geek when once you’ve finished looking at and trying to identify every instrument you then move on to the cases.... great picture!

    Looks like a national with a hot plate. Well that is the top left with the pic adjusted by Ivan that is.

    What amazes me most is that there doesn't seem to be a bowlback in the whole lot.

    A couple of flatbacks....resonator....banjo.

    But no bowlback mandolins.

    Should I be surprised or not?

    It is amazing. I wonder if they used hide glue to attach all of them to the ceiling.

    Also amazing: I see 5 Paul LeStock mandolins, one with five strings.

    This is a great photo to play "Where's Waldo?... er..."Where's Mando?" Too bad there isn't a Waldo bowlback.
