Default California Bluegrass Association Father's day Festival Question

This is the first year that I'm able to attend the Bluegrass Festival in Grass Valley. My wife and I are really looking forward to it. Can anyone tell me if there are workshops at the festival. Jams? Should we bring our instruments?

    Mandola : Weber Yellowstone A
    Guitar : Taylor 810

Tons of jams....during the week leading up to the festival there are various workshops, but I don't believe there are any on festival weekend.

Thank you Oliver - Is there a schedule of the workshops posted anywhere ? I could not find that info on the website.

There were a couple of band-led workshops during the long festival weekend last year but as Oliver mentioned, most workshops were earlier in the week.

It's a great festival. Jams are 24x7; don't go without your instruments. And it's a big forested fairground venue; it can be hot during the day and cold at night with surprise rainstorms, so wear comfortable shoes and bring layers of clothes that you can adapt as needed.

I'm jealous, can't make it this year. Have a great time!

There are mini-workshops on most instruments (1 - 2 hours) everyday at the lunch and dinner breaks, starting Thursday, June 14th. Contact Rick Cornish at rickcornish7777@hotmail.com, and he may be able to send you a workshop schedule, but he is very busy right now preparing for the event. When you get to the festival you will receive a program, with one whole page dedicated to the workshops.

Have not missed Fathers Day for over thirty years! I know you will have a good time. CBA does a great job with this event. Safe travels.
