Straight Up Strings
I have an Eastman MD305 which I have always been very happy with. I put a set of Roger Siminoff's Straight Up Strings on it and the transformation is astounding; it is like a different mandolin. The balance across the strings is absolutely brilliant with the E course coming in so well. I can hardly bear to put it down.
Let me say that I have absolutely no financial interest in this. I am just one very happy player and I am delighted with these strings.
Cheers,
Dave

Re: Straight Up Strings
I'm not surprised both of his mando sets use .0115 for the E strings. I've heard several instruments of varying price levels go from .011 to .0115, and it's been an improvement to my ears every time.
