Default Anyone have the Mandovodoo adjustments to your Mandolins?

I noticed an old post referring to work done on a somewhat lower priced Kentucky, where the modifications made a nice improvement to a $1000-ish Mandolin.....Wondering if #1--This can still be done and #2- anyone has had experience with this....I believe the person's name is M. Perry, who does the work and it seems quite viable,as I am thinking of a model at about $800,which lists for about $1400......This would be my first venture into Mandolin.I could go for a more expensive Mando, but would have to move out a guitar(I have a few) and really LOVE them all....ARGH! Thanks

His name is Stephen Perry. I don't know if he still does this type of work. Here is his web page, Good Luck.

Kyle Dunn also does this type of work. He is in Tallahassee, FL at the Mando shop. His website is:

I believe Stephen Perry was talking about moving to the Chicago area sometime in the last year or so. His Cafe username is indeed Stephen Perry. There is also a Steve Perry but he's a different person.

His last visit to the cafe was Oct-30-2017.

While you're waiting for answers here is every thread on the cafe with the word mandovoodoo in it.

I am in Chicago, picking up in working on things. Best to call or direct email, rather than rely upon fora! Have been fairly busy. Worst parts were flu plus pneumonia, and selling my house after 30 years. Best part was riding my Guzzi up in February - just amazing to ride with snow in the highlands all around!
