I was hoping for some Parker tunes, but a Coleman Hawkins hit is OK!

    Mandolin imitating saxophone?

I vote for "Daphne" ahead of time, whenever that tune shows up in the poll. Reinhardt and Grappelli are more likely mentors for me than a saxophone player.

Anyway, thanks again Pete. You are giving us some good choices.

I love "Daphne", but I play gypsy jazz guitar, too.

Actually, a sax is a wonderful sound model for jazz mandolin. Particularly Parker, who was one of the greatest innovators and soloists in jazz ever.
