Default Strap button for a MT Collings Mandola

What do you think about a strap pin in the heel? How about attachment to the nut? Thanks

Much prefer a heel strap button over attaching strap to the headstock.
My first "proper" mandolin had a strap button on the back of the headstock - in between the tuners.. Very odd and not useful. I had it filled and moved.

Put one on the side of the heel. I would only shy away from doing this on a vintage mandolin. I opted for a "leather thong under the end of the fretboard" on my MT but wear along the top edge of the body is becoming apparent after 12 months or so. If I was starting afresh, I'd opt for a button.

Problem solved! I put a very nice little pin on the side of the heel. Feels great! looks great! Is great! If anyone every wanted to buy it and objected to the pin. well they would just have to look for another one. also, it won't be for sale in the foreseeable future! Thanks to all of you!
