    Absolutely! I saw him a couple times with the Earl Scruggs Revue during the '70's, and he was already playing fast, clean, and gorgeous, with zero showmanship to detract from his playing.

    Very sorry to hear this. By chance, I just posted a clip today in a subforum and thought it was cool watching a 16-year-old Randy playing guitar in Joan Baez' living room. Randy and I were about the same age. RIP Randy!
