Here are a couple of photos. Dirty. No bridge, no case, bad back crack, goodness knows what else. Not worth $700 if you ask me, unless you have a spare bridge sitting around and can do all the restoration yourself. Possessing no repair skills, I would have to pay someone to fix this, and even when all fixed up it would still be worth less than $1K.

I might pay a couple of hundred for that if I ran into it but only because I do have the stuff laying around.

Dude was asking $800 and got no takers. Now he says he's in a bind and needs $600 for it by the end of today. Unfortunately for him, my suit of white armor is still at the cleaners.

It doesn't really look that far from being playable, but like the others have said, it is all about price. Agree with Mike, about $200 would be my limit....

... And now it's in the Classifieds, with no photos. Caveat emptor.

it might turn out to be a great player. got the pick guard. is it original? and tuners look original. someone should make an offer, b ut don't look at me. it doen't look far from playing condition for a good fixer.

The mandolin surely has potential, but the seller is asking far too much and has been less than forthcoming about the condition. I actually offered him $400 for it a month ago; I do have a nice spare Cumberland bridge and a couple of vintage A-style cases sitting around, so with a little help from my friends I could have made it into a presentable instrument and flipped it. But with a $400 initial investment my margin would be pretty thin.
