    Default Really?

This seems to be a rather nice old bowlback, but c'mon now...

Yep way too HIGH of a price, I could maybe see it if it was a presentation type model with pearl fret board, pearl tuners etc...but that's pretty plain!

There's a customer born every minute. He won't get $1100 if he doesn't ask it. (I know, I know, he isn't going to get $1100 any way. But still....)

Even if it were in pristine condition... from what I can see, it looks like the top is seriously sunken.

Overvalued listings of commonplace items items happens from time to time; we can either take the time to contact the seller and inform them of the condition and more reasonable pricing, or simply scroll to the next listing. Plenty more bowlbacks in better condition at lower prices for those that want 'em.

That should be in the "this weeks mandolin that will never get a bid" thread. Over priced by a grand.

Ah, with the case I'd go $150.

You would probably be better using a shoebox. The case has no leather hinges or clasps. It is just an antique chipboard case. Certainly not a leather "clown shoe."

Sorry, but an overwhelming majority of the time, the asking price for instruments on Craigslist are a joke. I was looking earlier today and somebody wanted $80 for a Rogue RM-100A . . . they are $49 with free shipping, brand new from Musicians Friend!

    Unbelievable.
