    Hey pops1, sorry for the delayed reply. The PEEK is by far the brightest (and loudest), owing to its relatively high density versus other materials out there. The brightness might be a bit much for some. On the brighter end, but less so than the PEEK, is the Resin. It has a sound that is fairly clear and crisp. The casein is the warmest and most balanced of the three in terms of sonic range.

    I'm definitely looking into one of the casein picks-trying to decide between the soft rounded tri or the mandolin specific in a 1.5mm......hum
    I like both shapes, was for a long time using a proplec, then I got a BC 60TAD I just never bonded with, now I have a dark sounding wegen mandolin rounded in 1mm I think(ordered 8 wegens, all rounded mando shape, .7 thru 1.5, each one sounded very different-some too bright, some too thin), rattling thoughts, sorry, time to move on.
