    Default Pava Player Oval

What a sight to behold. If'n it had a July 9, 1923 Loar shaped neck and side position markers only, the piggy bank would be fearing for its life and i would be in danger of owning 3 mandolins again.

Has anybody played one of these yet? Maybe it's better that i not know....

I played a couple Pava ovals when I was at the Ellis shop. They are everything I'd want in an oval hole mandolin. I'd bet they could do your neck shape if you talked to them.

Thanks very much for posting, Don. i wonder if they are on the tubby side and lacking in the treble dep't. i would like an oval to have good volume and balance, but with its own sound. PM sent.

Yeah but Don, we’ve established that you don’t want an oval hole mandolin!
