Default hats off to Pava Knesevic!

I just acquired a Pava satin A model, and I’m blown away by how great this thing sounds! I had to imagine that Tom Ellis wouldn’t want junk coming out of his shop. Boy was I right…! I did upgrade the tuner machines to Rubners. (they are great, too!). I would recommend this mando to anyone looking in its price range, or even higher.

Congratulations! It's a beauty. Love a blond A5. That back is really nice. I've had two Pavas - a satin brown and a blond satin. Wonderful mandolins. It took an Ellis to make me part with them. Enjoy

Careful with that finish on the top. Satin will buff off and leave semigloss if you let your fingers rub on it. I put a Ellis shop finger rest on mine after I buffed out a shiny spot - now well hidden by the guard

I was at Acousticmusic.org in CT but missed out. There were no Pavas—they were all sold. Ah, some day.

One of the best mandolins I've ever played was a blonde Pava satin A just like yours. It was at Carter's in Nashville. I almost bought it just on principle for how great it played and sounded!

    Congratulations!
I played a Pava A5 Pro last week at Olde Town Pickin Parlor in Arvada, CO. It sounded better to me than every Collings they had on the wall, and I love the Collings mandolins too. Superb mandolin!

Congrats. I had to let mine go earlier this year and boy do I miss it. It was also a Satin model.

    Howdy Mando Friends,

I am in total agreement on the Pava mandolins. I too just got a Pava A player model with the new shellac finish and currently using it on tour in Florida. The clear bell like tone and sheer volume of the mandolin is incredible! This along with the playability and workwomanship make this a top tier mandolin for anybody.

Anyone in Florida who would like to check mine out see the web page www.desertnight.com for locations. Thanks!

There's a rumor floating about that a Pava model is going to be the next high end mandolin announced as a giveaway on the Cafe. Not sure who is responsible for this...

Being between the sale of a mandolin, and the purchase of another, it would be wonderful to play and own a mandolin from a make we have heard so much about! To any who are able to win, may it be a joy to their heart.
