I've got a tune that alternates between a Cm7 and F9, and I'm wondering if there's a workaround for the F9 chord. It's a big, difficult shift back and forth. Any one or two finger chord cheats or the like? Any thoughts?
Thanks!

Really should involve changing only one note: the Bb in Cm7 drops to the A in F9. Let someone else in the band get the F root, since you can't play a five-note chord on mandolin.
For example: 3133 (Cm7) to 2133 (F9).
I like that solution. If you want to shift the high note instead of the low note, the same chords could be played:
5566 (cm7) to 5565 (F9). The F9 without the root looks like an A half-diminished chord.

Thanks everyone. Super helpful and just what I was looking for.
Here's another formula for that vamp. Maybe a little harder to grab in a hurry, but I like hearing the moving part buried in the middle:
5863 (Cm7) to 5763 (F9)
