    Default Weber Y2K

Howdy folks. I have just found a 1999 Weber Y2K with f-holes for $450. The mandolin appears to be in very good condition. Is this a decent deal? Any info about these would be great!

Bruce Weber made them. You can contact him at: https://www.montanalutherie.com/

Y2K is flat. Solid Mahogany back, sides, neck. Adjustable truss rod. Solid spruce top. Unknown tuner hardware. Was a no frills cheaper made mandolin, think most sold for $1100+ when new. Hand rubbed natural satin finish. Most come with a vinyl covered hard case (11.1 lbs)

The one I have is an oval hole, which was what I was wanting. There are times that I wondered what the F holed version would of played like, although mine has excellent & amazing sustain. $450 seems to be about the norm for these, and they are tough.

Yes...I almost bought that one on general principle, but already have a nice Flatiron 1N, so passed on it...
