Mandorich, I will try to describe the differences in the three mandolins. I describe it in terms of classical music. If I was playing Bach, I'd use the Weber (crisper, not so dramatic,) if I was playing Mozart, I'd use the Pava (more dramatic and louder, and if I was playing Beethoven, I'd use the Collings (very dramatic, many overtones.) It is pretty clear to me as a pianist the tonal and playing differences, I hope I described it fairly clearly. Bach is in the Baroque period, Mozart is in the Classical period, and Beethoven is in the Romantic period, if that helps explain it. They all are excellent instruments, and I enjoy them all, and none are leaving until they are pried from my cold, dead fingers. As in they all are keepers, and I am very happy with them all.
