    Default Musical Journeys

    There's been a wee fall of snow here in Scotland which is threatening my trip to the South of England this weekend. The BMG fretted instrument festival takes place in Worthing from Friday to Sunday, and on the Saturday I'm doing a workshop called Musical Journeys, exploring how different cultures can play the same tune in very different ways. The tune I'm focussing on is Annie Laurie, originally a song, but we'll be playing it as a march (Scotland), as a polka (Ireland) and a waltz (USA).
