Dang. Missed it. Where were they at? The mando player in that shot is Richard Kriehn (the "other guy" is Pat Donohue). An extremely tasty player regardless of instrument. Plays an Ellis A. I caught him locally about a month ago playing in a band called "Lush Country". He (Kriehn) did something I have never heard before. The band played "El Paso". He played guitar on that one...and every improvised fill line was just as tasty as Grady Martins original version. I have heard folks try, and fail, every other time. He nailed it.

The 318 in Excelsior on lake Minnetonka. A little cafe, probably holds not more than 50. Third time weve seen them there. Those two play like few others can for sure. I asked Pat, he says they're working up some material to record.
Having a better time, just got to spend the evening with Kenney and Amanda Smith. Got to pick with them too................a truly out of body experience.
A little cell phone vid of a Richard Kriehn composition.

"Then one day we weren't as young as before
Our mistakes weren't quite so easy to undo
But by all those roads, my friend, we've travelled down
I'm a better man for just the knowin' of you."
