    Default '20 Gibson A2 bracket needs repair

    My 1920 Gibson A2 has a broken pick guard bracket.
    Any suggestions for repair <Removed by Moderator, Please limit commerce to the classifieds>

    I don't know. that said, a jeweler comes to mind (silversmith)?

    I would think that could be repaired for much less than one would cost you to buy.

    I'd try someone that could repair jewelry. They probably aren't in your local mall.

    They should up in the classifieds now and again and they aren't cheap. Place an ad in the Wanted section of the classifieds.

    Also, take a look through these threads for what people have said in the past about this problem.

    This one was in about the same condition as yours. As others have suggested I took it to a local jewelry store that had a full-time goldsmith. I showed him the mandolin and told him about its age and history. It was outside of his norm but he seemed to be enthused about doing the work. It turned out great and I believe the cost was about $60 for the repair.
