    Default Black Beauties

Nothing like some vintage Gibson mandos. A '25 A1, 100% original including the case, and her older sister, a '13 F2, mostly original Handel tuners and all. The original pick guards and hardware on both these are removed due to the pick noise during playing. Enjoy.

They are woody Sheephead. The Snake-head is loud too. The F-2 is a close second and has a very clear sustain. Two keepers.

Are others allowed to play? I also have a pair of black beauties, although only one is a vintage Gibson!

And I guess in a certain sense, this can be considered a Black beauty as well.

Very nice pheffernan. All are definitely black beauties! Does your '24 have a clamp style pickguard or the arm screwed into the side? Tell us about your A2-z. It looks fantastic.

My long time friend, bought it around 37 years ago or so. I have had others but always come back. It was sold to me as a black A2Z but really properly should be called a black A-2 snakehead.

At one point I had a black-face 1937 K-1 mandocello and a 3-point black F-2 but those are long gone.
