Default Music for Chetvorno Horo? Andy Irvine

Does anyone know where I might find tab or music to this?

    https://youtu.be/gHor3yeyDhg

I've dug around the internet considerably and haven't turned anything up. I'm working on it by ear, but there is so much going on, that I want to speed up the process and make sure I get all the right notes.

    Thoughts?

    Thanks!

Hah! Fantastic. Did you simply google the name? I thought my search skills were better than that!

I used ABC Tune Finder's own search function at the link in my post -- the tunes stored at the site are not indexed by Google. It's a very comprehensive database, and for most traditional tunes you get at least a bare bones melody line.

Hmmm... false hope maybe. I went to the site to see if they had he midi, which they did, and unless the midi is just really weird, I don't think that's the same tune. When I get to an instrument to check sheet music will know better.

Here are another two transcriptions for you to try. From a Google image search. One of them is fairly similar to the one in my earlier post, the other seems to be a different tune.

Looking at this link, it seems that "Chetvorno Horo" may be the name a particular dance rather than a specific tune, in which case identifying the tune that Andy used may be difficult.

Thanks. Will check those out too. Well, I have been figuring it out by ear, which is probably best, but all those little ?trills? and the full ensemble was giving me some static. Power through...

Wow. I did not know that the 'tune finder' is still on the internet. This brings memories of many hours researching tunes back in the 1990's. The ABC Tune Finder is a great resource. And not just for Irish tunes anymore. I just found a klezmer tune that I know. Thanks. I guess I'll be using it again!
