Default Gluing Back and Top---Using the "Pallet Knife Technique" ?

Do any of you use the technique of gluing the back and top to the rim using a pallet knife dipped in HHG -- applying the glue in sections as you loosen the clamps, then reclamp, and then moving to a new section. This is the technique used in violin family instrument construction. I realize this allows for using HHG and not running into problems with running out of time before the HHG starts to set up.

    Thoughts? Opinions?
