aha... so this is the thing about torrified tops...
I heard if you look just right, you can faintly see the image of Monroe himself burnt into the toast.
I'll hold off and wait for the Bill Monroe kitchen set.. .
Expensive toast!

It would be fun to take it to a jam. (I'm sorry)

You could try a few hot licks on that but the elements of surprise could be quite shocking.

It'll make any bread toasty; or it won't accept your pay
You would need to have some serious bread in order to buy that thing.
Scott, do you want it? I'll buy it for you
I've got a pair of Bill's socks that he actually wore on stage. If anyone is interested call me.......
I'll wait and bid on the fire poker!
I rather doubt there's DNA on there. Certainly none in stable condition anymore. Remember kids....
I hope whomever buys this enjoys this treasured possession.

Keep that skillet good and greasy all the time!
Wow, the things you find when you go looking. I have a wax ring that belonged to Monroe. It was his spare for when his main ring broke down. Wait, wrong thread. Sorry.

People do the craziest things. Like sell, and buy, the toasters of the rich and or famous.
It being Bluegrass I'm guessing famous.

Stumbling Towards Competence
$300? Just because an item is rare and/or one-of-a-kind, doesn't mean it's valuable.
I'm a fan of Bill Monroe and I understand his many contributions to music but I don't know that I would take it if it was given to me. It just ain't that big a deal.
