Thread: Just introducing myself

    Default Just introducing myself

Hey there. My name is Mark Wybierala and I haven't been here on this forum in a few years. I'm a professional tech and luthier in NJ and have been so for about 18 years now. I'm retired from the USAF and frankly couldn't do this for a living if I wasn't retired. My forte is fretwork and my weak area is finishing. For the last few years I've really been into building electric octave mandolins and mandocellos -- not that I can play one very well but I'm totally blown away by the tonal pallet that is just so different from the guitar. I look forward to making new friends here; your assistance with problems; and sharing ideas.

Hi Mark, are you still in the Hamilton area?

Yes. Still work with Frank and picked up a couple small places where they do lessons only. Moved house from Chesterfield to Browns Mills and still haven't got my workshop at home set up for real building of instruments but I knock one out every few months. Started building harps too. Seems like every time I build something weird it sells.

John K... The most exciting and fun night of my life was in Edinburgh on a New Years Eve. The Scots know how to throw a party.
