Northfield Big Mon Blacktop 2016 sold on eBay for $2150

$2150 for a MF5M Big Mon 2016 Black topped seems stupid cheap. I see this one has changed hands a couple times and it’s only a 2016. Ugly pick guard and armrest for my taste but those can be easily fixed. My bid was higher but for some reason Ebay did not take it in time even though I placed it with about a minute to go
Anyone know if there’s something fishy about this one?

Someone had a snipe program? I remember when these first came out, well the Northfields and there was only 2 to choose from and that was nice!

One thing I noticed about this particular instrument -- mentioned in the auction -- was that it had been "modified". Involved tinkering with the tonebars and such.

That was enough to scare me away; may have affected others' attitudes toward it, as well.

Any modification "away from stock" can seriously impact the instrument's resale value. I think the Northfield's owner found that out...
