    Default New Pick Day(?)

So, my wife learned that there was this pick made of aerospace plastic that I thought was cool. Yesterday she hands me this tiny little present to unwrap, and I about flipped when I saw the Blue Chip logo on the little wooden box.

    It was empty.

"So you have a place to put your picks," she says, while looking like she felt bad she'd gotten my hopes up.

The TP-1R was in another package. Turns out she'd gotten into my case and measured my most used Primetones while I was away, and figured out what I'd probably like, banking on that 30 day guarantee. She's not normally so devious, lol

Goes with the new Eastman MD-305 :D

Makes one wish there was a Pick of the Month Club that would send out a new pick to all its members.

    Happy Picking!
On the way to finding a pick I like best, I've traded every good pick i've owned except my first BC. A TPR45 Christmas gift from the wife

I had a new pick day as well, 12 pack of Clayton acetals along with assorted strings I needed from JustStrings.

Thank you. I love the Eastman. My ears need some time to get used to the sound. I wasn't expecting it to be _so_ different from my Epiphone. I love that I can fit my finger on a note without touching extra courses now. I feel like I have space for days, ha.

Thank you! She's been pretty supportive in the past (the whole "I want to be an airline pilot" thing happened _after_ we were married, lol), but it's taken some ... "discussion" for her to come around on the mandolin.

I've been at my in-laws in Eastern Washington (Clarkston-miles from home) with only my travel/beater mandolin. I just can't wait to try my new CT55 on the Weber 🤓
