The logo is silk-screened on. SS ink is different from paint, meaning a different solvent. In the graphic art world we start with a hierarchy of solvents from gentle to harshest. We would start with Bestine, then try acetone, then lacquer thinner. Bestine probably won't damage the Tolex, but acetone and lacquer might. Test in a hidden spot first.
Myself, I would go with a Mandolin Café sticker. The easiest solution is usually the best solution.

Steve is probably right, screen printing is exactly how this is done, Bestine (rubber cement thinner) is a fairly benign solvent and may have just enough to get it done!
