A few months ago I was asked to play mandolin for a Christmas concert. Of course I said yes.

You are not just playing for the crowd. You are playing to the Lord (even if it's a general concert it's still a CHRISTmas concert) and He sees your heart and He doesn't care if you make a small mistake or two. He cares that you are willing. The crowd will surely receive a collateral blessing but that is not the primary motivation. I play for crowds in church too and it's always nerve racking but I am willing. God doesn't call the equipped. He equips who He calls. Blessings to you for being available. If someone wantsto judge you they are welcome to step up and do it themselves !
