    Default New Jessen GBOM build

I suppose some of you, maybe alot of you, have been down this road but having an instrument built is a new experience for me. I thought I'd post this link to Tee Jay Jesson's facebook page (that's okay, right?) for anyone like me who'd like to follow along. https://www.facebook.com/permalink.p...41224535892030

I think you'll love this instrument! I have 5 instruments TJ built, 2 of them customs. Are you interested in a pickup as well? TJ installed these JJB's in my 10 string mandocello and hardanger fiddle. I ordered the pu from Jessie at JJB and had him ship directly to TJ. A lot easier to install during the build than retrofit later. NFI but as you know I'm a big fan of TJ and JJB.

Just FYI, the Book of Face doesn't play nicely with non-members. Some links will come up draped with a huge re-occurring banner blocking the content, which invites you to log in or join, and other links (such as the one above) just deliver a blank white page. I'd love to see your instrument-in-progress, but for such obstacles...

Not going to have a pickup installed myself. I just play for myself & have no means to amplify but thanks for the info Mandobart & thanks for the assist in hooking up with TJ in the first place! I think this is going to be one fine instrument. I'll look into some other means of sharing some of the build photos but for now, here's a link to phase 4 on fb. The back is coming together with the sides. https://www.facebook.com/Cricket-Fid...1224535892030/

I've been watching the build process on TJ's FB. Is looking really nice!

Next time you talk to him say hi for me. And pester him about the location of that wood body banjo proto for me. He'll get a chuckle out of that.

Ah, Forgot! Next time! I made a last minute dash to the MBOTMA winter bluegrass gathering for a sneak preview. Some tweaks & varnish still to be done but it's looking & sounding great! Click image for larger version.
