    Sorry to bump this thread but that Eastman sounds great, they have came a long way since I first played 12 of them and not a one suited me but now they are sounding great...I might have to try one this weekend at a local dealer that is having them come in and show case their mandolins...Maybe Tim Finch can give an old friend a discount also...

    I just got a great discount on an Eastman MD805 Demo model. Adirondack spruce top. Can't tell if that was what he was playing but it looked very similar in finish. I'm real happy with it. Better than any Eastman I've played. Sounds like Tim is dropping by Appalachian Bluegrass up in Catonsville? I'll have to check their website. There is a Collings MT up there I want to try out.
    On second thought, unlike the rest of the 05 series, the 805 and 905 have Scooped Florida's. That one doesn't.
