GM-110 case

Hello,

I bought a used Goldtone GM-110 the other day, but it didn't come with a case. I tried putting it into a gator f shaped case, and it was Soo close to fitting but didn't. Other than the 200+ dollar official case from Goldtone, are there any cases that will fit the unique shape of this instrument?

It will fit into a gig bag, but that is a worst case scenario if I can't find a reasonably priced hard case.

The instrument sounds great by the way, although a little quieter than other Mando's I've tried. But the tone is the best I've tried yet.

Anyone have suggestions for a case?

If the case fit is close, you may be able to pull the material away from the edges and trim some foam then reglue the material back in place.

GWW Cases made the Rigel cases; they have a website but seem pricey.

The Gold Tone instrument is licensed by Rigel, I believe. You might be able to find a used Rigel case, but I wouldn't bet on it; Rigel didn't make a ton of mandolins, and I imagine their cases follow them around through the used market.

You may need to bite the bullet and buy the Gold Tone case.

A hiscox case should fit about any configuration. Lots of storage room as well. Same price as the 'official' case but you would have a multi purpose lifetime case
