If that was the subject or the line you might find it here. It's not a real unusual topic for us so it's hard to break them out in a search.

"Bargain instruments are no bargains if you can't play them"

Is it maybe this one?

thanks Mike, neither one is mine. I have been using a Dawg pick & 2 blue chip picks & I just want to know what people who been playing the mando a lot longer than me use. I think it went one step beyond.
If you go to your profile you can look up your own started threads. Just an idea.
thanks Zach I remember you answered me & toll me about you use. oh well maybe I am going crazy & losing it.
Oddly enough... I went looking for your thread called something like "Dawgs a bust" And can't find it either.
You posted it after asking about dawg pics.
Strange.
yap there both gone.
I see it still, about 7 down...

well I will ask it again. what kind of picks do you use. that way I can go out & buy a few. or as Capital one would put it. what's in your pocket.
I just looked at the cached copy of that thread on Google. It was merged into this one. I'm assuming that since the subject had nothing to do with the discussion somebody merged it. And now I see why. You started two different threads that were basically discussing the same thing. And that is the thread I linked to in number 3 above.
Your question is right here:

thanks Mike, that's my baby. I think I want to try some prime tone picks for starters.
+1 for Primetones.
Here is my suggestion. Get a couple different shapes to get a feel for what you like.... hold on to the others cause your taste can change. Once you find a shape you're happy with go buy a similar Blue Chip.
Happy pickin'
