Default Any Mandolin Players on the Southern Oregon Coast?

Life is full of changes -- we are moving from Sequim, WA to Brookings, OR at the end of November. I'd love to find some new mando-friends to jam with -- anybody out there in Brookings, or anywhere else along the southern Oregon coast?

I still think of myself as a beginner (and perhaps I will forever!) but I might actually be playing at sort of an intermediate level at this point. I love the old fiddle tunes ..... old time ..... bluegrass ..... and I'm open to trying almost anything!

A big thank you to my friends here in Sequim, Billy C, Eldon and Jan, who have helped me take my first steps in the fun world of mando-jamming. You all are The Best! And of course another big thank you to Pete Martin, mandolin teacher extraordinaire!

Sorry to see you leaving our great state! I live in Auburn, just a plug for the PNW!

Helen - you're going to be very greatly missed here in Sequim! We've so much enjoyed our jam times with you and watching your rapid progress. Keep that great-grandpa's mandolin busy once you're all settled into Brookings. It and your skill create a wonderful sound!

Hey, thanks, Zach, for giving this thread a bump.

And Eldon ......... I'm counting on there being a next time, just no idea when and where. We're just getting started!

Helen - if you ever get up around Grants Pass, there's a pretty good jam at Wild River Pub on 3rd Thursdays. Lasts from 6-8pm or so.

Thanks, Rick, sounds fun. I'm rarely in Grants Pass but will certainly keep it in mind.

And Jeff -- this is so helpful! I know I'll need a luthier, and I have a friend in Talent.

Hope to run into both of you in the mandolin world someday.
