    Default A barbat (Persian oud) I just finished building




    As per title.
    Oak and sapele body and neck veneers. Sapele pegbox. Spruce soundboard. Maple and rosewood fingerboard. Boxwood pegs.

    Very cool - are you getting a feather quill for the risha/mizrab pick?

    I tend to prefer playing lute-style personally, so with fingers. I also use an oud risha occasionally, but it's plastic, not a feather quill. There are plenty of pigeons around here, so if I find one that one has dropped I'll give it a go!
