I think you're getting too far into the weeds on this. Eastman uses whatever model they can get in enough quantity at a good price. Currently on the 300 series they use generic economy tuners. On the 400 & 500 series they are currently using Schaller. On the 600 & 800 series they are currently using Ping Well. On the 900 series Gotoh.
Just buy the best you can for the least $ and put them on.
Whatever you use, the footprint of the back plate will not match up to the existing tuners and you may see a mark on the back from the impression of the old tuners. You will likely be the only one who notices, if at all.
If you can't personally deal with a slight mark from the stock tuners, then don't swap them out. The existing tuners will work well enough.

Here's a picture of my install of Grovers on my Eastman. You can see two holes but I don't care as it is functional.

rubners are best for me - super smooth, stay-in-tune, high quality, fair price.

also, rubner routinely has website tuner discount sales.

all rubners are not alike, and the newer build ones with roller end bearings are the best. ask before you purchase.

WOW. Yes. I actually did see tuners very much like those on a mandolin at a store where I was working... hmm... over forty years ago. I cannot for the life of me remember what kind of mandolin they were attached to --- but I think it was something from the 1930's.

Recently installed Gotoh's on my A5-L. Look fine from the back and front.
