I dated a Gibson once...never again......talk about high maintenance....
It looks like the shim is there because the top looks like it has sinkage to me?
I suspected that might be the case which is why I raised it. A lolipop stick might make it playable in the short term but re-gluing the top brace and a new bridge would be a far better solution.
